Marathon Messiah’s Praise, MMP, The annual marathon praise program held by The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, continues this year. The event which began at 6 am on the 27th of February will run till the 2nd of march 2023, making a total of 81 hours spent in the praise session.
The initial event which kicked off eleven years ago serves as an avenue to unify Christians, especially members of the RCCG through the medium of praise. Essentially the program is a medium for the members of the mega church worldwide to thank God for the life of the current General Overseer, GO, Pastor Enoch. A. Adeboye.

This year's MMP will un for 81 hours to celebrate the GO's birthday as he also marks his 81st birthday. According to information from MMP, each hour of praise celebrates each year of the GO's age. "Our daddy, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, will clock 81 years on the 2nd of March 2023. To celebrate God’s faithfulness and mercies over our Father’s life and ministry, we will be praising Jesus the Name Above All Names for 81 hours, each hour representing a year of Daddy’s life."
"In addition, this 81Hours Marathon Praise launches a new decade of God’s unending blessings over the church of God and it also marks the 11th edition of the annual event."
As of the time of reporting this event, over Twenty-five (25) hours have already been spent in the praise session. Various gospel ministers within and outside Nigeria have led the praise for a designated amount of time each, featuring ministers Kunle Kenny, Ife Odoginyan, Odunayo Adebayo and many more.
In the coming hours till the 2nd of March, the event will see other notable ministers hold awarded time slots in praise. MMP promises to feature, Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, ministers Dunsin Oyekan, Tim Godfrey, Bukola Bekes and more.
So as to engage all members of the church worldwide, the ongoing praise program is being streamed on three broadcast mediums which contain the Nigerian, Diasporan and Combined ministrations. For live attendance, participants are gathered at the Prayer Foyer 3km by 3km, New Arena, Km 46, Lagos-Ibadan expressway Ogun state Nigeria.
