The maiden edition of the spontaneous worship gathering, Open Hearts, will be happening live at Yaba, Lagos state, on Saturday the 4th of March 2023. The event is a worship meeting that is meant to rekindle the spiritual connection between its participants and God.
In a quick interview with Potter’s Gazette, Open Hearts anchor, Pastor Fiyin Adeniyi, gave more insight into the purpose and expectations of the upcoming event.
In as much as the anchor has graced the alters of several worship gatherings, Adeniyi envisions that this event is meant to be distinct. Discussing the pursuit of the event, he said, “ In the midst of all that’s happening right now, it’s easy to lose focus and have our hearts burdened with so much. God wants to use this meeting to touch people, heal wounds, and invite us into something deeper. A bare and intimate time of worship and expressions in song with Him.”
Acknowledging that the Nigerian Christian community witnesses occasional spontaneous worship sessions, Adeniyi highlights a few things promising participants should expect at Open Hearts this Saturday. “ They can expect a great time of worship and an atmosphere of pure worship. Burdens will be lifted, hearts will be healed, I trust God that miracles will happen, prophecies will be given, Jesus glorified and men edified,” he stated.
The upcoming event will be taking place at ECWA Guest House - 17, Montgomery Road, Sabo - Yaba. Lagos, by 4 pm.
In a bid to create a memorable worship experience, Open Heart is currently in partnership with one of Nigeria’s emerging churches, Circle Church Global. According to the anchor, the event is still open to more partnerships and sponsors to further provide remarkable experiences for participants. The event will also be featuring a couple of unique gospel ministers, to lead the people in worship.
“ This is the first time the event is holding. And we’re trusting God to see how more editions would hold. I’d love to specially invite you to this meeting. It’s non-denominational and all who believe in the name of Jesus can come to this atmosphere where Jesus is our sole focus. I also want you to bring a friend along and tell them Jesus is in the neighbourhood. The eve is free, but registration is necessary so we can plan for all. Come one and come all,” Adeniyi said as an invitation.
